On the heels of two recent cases in Sussex County, Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden warns residents to beware of home improvement scams.

Biden says scammers are more active in the spring and summer months when homeowners look to do repairs before winter weather arrives.

The Attorney General?s office recommends checking to see that the contractor is licensed and bonded, get references, consult the Better Business Bureau and never pay for work up front.
